Great stories change the world. That’s why our courses are about developing stories. Whether it’s a course in journalism, photo, media or communication we focus on great stories, and at the same time try to change the often negative perception of developing countries through a broder selection of stories than the ones usually given in the media today.
Developing stories with us is all about getting new skills and knowledge. Through a mixture of theory and practical exercises you won’t just learn how to develop stories – you will actually develop stories throughout our courses.
People are the most important part of our business. Our products are based on the expertise of our teachers and our succes is build on the development our students undertake on our courses. We focus on the individual student and try to shape our courses to the individual needs, interests and passions.
When working and travelling in developing countries we always interact with local journalists and media professionals to exchange knowledge and our passion for great stories.
On some of our courses we sponsor young talented journalists and photojournalists who want to strengthen their skills and widen their horizon. Skilled journalists in independent media are vital in any democracy and by enrolling young talents into our courses we offer an opportunity to acquire new skills free of charge.
A good story often contains new information that inspire, shock or impress. Developing countries are often overlooked in western media which leaves a lot of stories and news untold.
We teach and travel in developing countries to cover some of the untold stories and by teaching in an environment unfamiliar to our students we create a unique learning space that encourage curiosity and a will to get away from the desk and into society.
We think that journalism is best when it’s not produced behind a desk but based on what happens in the real world. That’s why all our courses include travel elements, and we work in developing countries because they are often overlooked.
